Oxelcraft is an indie game, developed by a single person (me) in mine free time.
I have developed Oxelcraft during last seven years, with no real funds and no external support.
The hardest part was the voxels optimization and the network code, which both took years to solve, and I already had some experience with that when I started Oxelcraft seven years ago, altough the current form was built from scratch three years ago becaused earlier version was too slow and unplayable.
Currently I am funding the hosting and development with my own money but I am not sure how long I can do that, that's why I have decided to open for donations and contributions
Currently the easiest way to donate is to do one-time tip for my Paypal which I am also using for my other projects:
Paypal is the preferred method of donation at the current time.
As a thank you, I can give you multi-use promo code for use in-game, that you can redeem in Oxelcraft to get items and powerups.
I would really like to work at least half-time (or even better, full-time) on Oxelcraft, but that's not possible for a totally free to play project. That's why donating can help a lot and at least a basic monetization is important to ensure the project survival in the future.
You can also consider becoming a Patreon at:
Oxelcraft is constantly being updated and improved so monthly support can help a lot with the progress.
As you can probably infer, I'm mostly a programmer, altough I can also do some work in 3D and 2D. I am using mostly Blender and Gimp. That being said, most of my assets are still free to use, Creative-Commons licensed placeholders that I've got around the web and I am often limited by assets.
This means that, if you are a 2D or 3D artist, you can donate an asset of your work for the Oxelcraft game.
