Survival is the main game mode in OxelCraft. Survival takes place on a very large, procedurally generated map with random biomes, item spawns and animals. Survival comes in two versions:
On Survival, you can choose anywhere you want to spawn on the map by entering world coordinates.
Build & Defend Team Match is a mode that is played in two stages:
Use your time wisely and build the best possibly defence you can do in your limited time!
TeamMatches are designed for quick, action-oriented FPS gameplay. Teammatch goal is to attack the enemy spawn (for attackers) or to defend your spawn (for defenders). On TDM, you can select one of the following roles:
Deathmatch Arena is the simplest possible gamemode in Oxelcraft. In deathmatch, you just spawn with weapon

Creative Mode offers you a small island with a large amount of artificially placed resources, ores, trees and scrap that you can harvest very easily just to focus on the building itself.
Creative Mode maps are often used in the two kinds of servers
- in a non-PVP server, where you can just focus on building
- and in Team Game, where you can compete and fight the other team
Falling Tiles is a little Oxelcraft mini game where you have to struggle to the be the last one standing! Every round everybody respawns on a set of magic tiles and those tiles gradually begin to fall.
Lava World is a survival game mode variation where water is replaced with deadly lava.
This change of mechanics brings some certain new challenges. For example, it means it's very hard to travel between islands.
